Kumar is a world renowned Cricket Coach and Cricket Development professional. He is a Level 3 Cricket Australia coach with accompanying teaching experience of over 30years.

He is a former Cricket West Indies Territorial Development Officer through which he was responsible for the education of over 1000 coaches around the globe. His coaching and cricket developmental exploits have taken him throughout the West Indies, Canada, USA, England, Brazil, Belize,  Costa Rica, Suriname, Dubai and even on ICC assignments to Kuwait and Mexico.

In his early days in Trinidad, Kumar played cricket semi-professionally and had a reputation as a deadly left arm orthodox spinner. He then moved into cricket coaching and development in the 1980s where he molded a niche for himself as the top coaching educator in the region. Since then he has worked with countless professional and international cricketers throughout the West Indies who regularly seek him out for advice. He often consults on remedial, technical improvement and strategic development of players earning him the title “The Doctor of Cricket”.

At the KRCA, he can often be seen looking on from the sidelines keenly observing the performance of both his players and coaches alike. When available, Kumar enjoys coaching at all levels from beginner, intermediate, advanced and professionals.
